What Does the Bible Say About Beauty and Makeup for Women Entrepreneurs

Isn’t it totally random that the God of the universe chooses beauty treatments to help Esther prepare for her kingdom assignment? Or is it?

Here’s an eye-opener: In Esther’s case, beauty treatments were part of the regulations, the beauty pageant ‘rules’, and the tool that God used to empower her.

I believe your beauty routine will support you through your product launches, difficult days, networking lunches, your pop ups, presentations so much more! And just like with Esther, beauty treatments are the foundation of success and happiness and where we should begin.

The Queen Esther Approach to Self Care

Let’s take a cue from Esther. Before she stepped into her big role, she had 12 months of beauty treatments and some serious coaching. It wasn’t just about looking good; it was about getting her mind, body, and spirit ready for her destiny. Esther shows us that self-care isn’t just pedicures and Prosecco – it’s prep work for greatness!

Hey, maybe you’ve heard someone (well-meaning church people) say that beauty and fashion are frivolous and superficial; citing 1 Peter 3:3-4.

This scripture about beauty does not mean it’s wrong to braid your hair or wear nice clothes and jewelry. The verse was written to warn women not to follow the customs of the world (some Egyptian women at that time), who spent hours and hours working on their hair, makeup and finding the perfect outfit. God would rather see women work on becoming beautiful on the inside – the kind of beauty that lasts forever.

So, why all the fuss about beauty treatments? Well, let me tell you – it’s more than just slapping on some lipstick and cute shoes. It’s about self-care, empowerment, and completeness.

Practicing self-care isn’t just about looking good; it’s about feeling good, inside and out. And let me tell you, it worked for Esther, works for me, and it will work for you too.

Surprisingly, a simple beauty routine can help to reduce stress, anxiety and depression. Beauty routines can lead to an increase in self-esteem, self-reflection, self-expression, energy and productivity. And, often it is found that relationships can begin to improve – which was absolutely true, in my case.

I believe practicing self care is probably the most important thing you can ever do that also has the biggest impact on your mental, physical and emotional well-being.

Whether it’s through makeup, skin care, hair care or something else entirely, your beauty routine should be something you take pleasure in and enjoy. Allow it to be a means to self-soothe, heal, relax, have fun or boost your mood! Beauty treatments go beyond the outer surface and impact the inner self.

It’s about honoring God, expressing yourself boldly and out loud, and finding joy in the skin you’re in. So go ahead, embrace your beauty routine as a form of self-care, and watch as it transforms not just your appearance, but your mental, emotional and spiritual health too!

Here is what one of my beta readers said to me. Maybe you can relate?

“I was raised Catholic and we were always taught never to put ourselves first, don’t be vain… I love that I have been given permission to dress well, to take care of myself, my skin, my hair – to take care of me. And doing this HONORS the God that has given us life. What a joy this is going forward!” – Sandi
